I have since finished with that brand of bar and moved onto something much better.<\/p>\n<p>I have been using <a href=\"http:\/\/products.smartforlife.com\/product_p\/2ct-pbvp.htm\" target=\"_blank\">Smart for Life brand Protein Bars <\/a>for several months now and I&#8217;m very happy.<\/p>\n<p>The first thing that immediately impressed me was all of the things that they don&#8217;t have:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>No Preservatives<\/li>\n<li>No GMO<\/li>\n<li>No Trans Fat<\/li>\n<li>No Cholestrol<\/li>\n<li>No Artificial Sweetners<\/li>\n<li>Gluten-Free<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>When I purchased my first box of these at Costco, I wasn&#8217;t even thinking about being <a href=\"http:\/\/paulradcliffe.me\/?p=2519\" target=\"_blank\">Gluten-Free yet<\/a>. Although few protein bars taste great, this one isn&#8217;t anything special in the taste category either. Kinda reminds me of a rice chrispy square<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n<p>The\u00a0inside texture varies from awesome to awful. The protein powder inside is sometimes compressed and has a texture like rice crispy squares. I&#8217;ll be bringing them with me to snack on after hard workouts, and likely during travelling too. I like them so much I just bought two more boxes from Costco!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Their website says its useful not only as a protein bar, but also as a meal replacement. At the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rundisney.com\/disneyworld-marathon\/#dopey-challenge\" target=\"_blank\">Walt Disney World Dopey Challenge<\/a>\u00a0in January, I will have to leave the hotel room\u00a0around 3:30am for each of the 4 races. That is long before breakfast will be available, so I hope to use these as &#8220;breakfast&#8221; before each race.
