It&#8217;s a classic of childhood, but also <em>gluten free<\/em>, which is all the rage right now. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The recipe is essentially the one from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ricekrispies.ca\/en_CA\/recipes\/squares-original-recipe-recipe.html\">Kellogg&#8217;s Rice Krispies website<\/a>. <br>Ingredients:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>50 mL or 1\/4 cup margarine <strike>or butter<\/strike><\/li><li>5 cups miniature marshmallows<\/li><li>2 mL or 1\/2 tsp vanilla extract<\/li><li>6 cups Rice Krispies cereal<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" src=\"http:\/\/paulradcliffe.me\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/RiceKrispies-A-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7114\" srcset=\"https:\/\/paulradcliffe.me\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/RiceKrispies-A-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/paulradcliffe.me\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/RiceKrispies-A.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/><figcaption>Marshmallows about to be melted<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Melt the margarine in a large saucepan. <em>LARGE<\/em>. There will be over 6 of Rice Krispies added later, so make sure it has the volume. <br>Then, add the marshmallows and stir until melted and well blended. We used a 12&#8243; x 12&#8243; glass pan that was about 2&#8243; deep.
