Super Safety Tip #7: Carry Identification Previous safety tips have recommended that you carry money and your mobile phone. I don’t want it to sounds like you’re carrying your whole house with you, but I also recommend that you run with your identification. In the event of an emergency, you may not be able to tell important information to first responders. If you have a serious medical condition, you should always be running with a Medic Alert or similar identification. It may have your health card number to get you access to hospitals in an emergency. Tip #7: Eat Enough Protein Protein is very, very important. You’ll notice that this tip comes before tips about eating carbs and fats. It’s that important! A typical meal for a person in marathon training should include carbohydrates, fats and protein. About 20-30% of your daily calories should come from protein sources.
