Nutrition Rant

This post started as me questioning some conflicting ideas about food and ballooned into this epic rant about fitness and the state of nutrition culture. Oh dear…   Feeding The Athlete Fitness is sometimes defined by four elements: Endurance, Strength, Flexibility and Balance. I realize that speed isn’t on that list, but I think it’s a combination of the four. CrossFit seems to think there are 10, but they’re really just combining these base elements into slick marketing. And I’m a Half Fanatic too!

  A little while ago I was very proud that I have achieved my goal of the season of becoming a certified Marathon Maniac! Upon review, it turns out I had accidently met the requirements to become a certified Half-Fanatic earlier this year. Oops. So, now I’m Half-Fanatic 3100! I achieved the “Neptune” moon level by doing 3 half-marathon races in 63 days. The three races were the Chilly Half-marathon, Around The Bay 30k and Mississauga Half-Marathon. Energizer Night Race 2012 Race Report

This race report is pretty late… like almost 2 months late. I apologize. It was mostly done a long time ago but I was waiting to see if there any picture of me. Regrettably, no. Date Event Goal Time Chip Time Gun Time 2012/09/08 Energizer Night Race 55-60 min 57:51.27 58:34.71 Oh the lovely Energizer Night Race. Highly touted, novel, and I’m sure it’s a lot of work.
