Photo with Levar Burton and More!
Totally not related to running at all, but I wanted to share this photo. Today I went to Fan Expo in Toronto with my friends Mei Ling Chen and Norman Goh. While there, we took a picture with Levar Burton! I remember him best as Geordi La Forge on the TV series Star Trek: The Next Generation. He was the Chief Engineer on the U.S.S. Enterprise (NCC-1701-D). I think the character he portrayed helped shape my decision to become an engineer myself. It was a real honour to meet him and take a picture with him. High Intensity Time
After successfully pacing A Midsummer Night’s Run, I have a great boost in motivation. You could say I have a new wind in my sails (or wings…) I’ve been having delusions of grandeur of doing really well at the Walt Disney World Half-Marathon this year. Wouldn’t it be awesome to stand on the podium!? However, a quick look at last year’s results quickly bring me back to earth. A Midsummer Night’s Run 2012 Race Report

When I ran it last year it was way too hot and I had a major stomach issue. This year, I was hoping that I could finish strong and enjoy a fun, catered training run.
