Nearing End Of Season
It’s less than 3 weeks until my goal race for this season, the Virgin London Marathon in London, England! Everyone I train with knows and wishes me well, but it hasn’t really hit me that I’m going yet. I thought this was a good time to reflect on my crazy season and set some goals for the next few weeks. I’ve been using dailymile to track my runs since last April. I’m really happy with its functionality for tracking distances. The social media aspect is a really neat bonus. Around The Bay 30k 2012 Race Report
Date Event Goal Time Chip Time Gun Time 2012/03/25 Around the Bay Road Race 3:12 – 3:19 3:16:20.9 3:22:03.2 I did not want to be unprepared for this year’s Around The Bay 30k Road Race. I did a lot more mental preparation for this race than I usually do. I had a detailed race plan and even did a reconnaissance mission! Vanessa Runs and the Pearl Izumi Pussy Apology
The discussion on this little issue has turned into a massive storm in a tea cup in the running blogosphere, but there are some interesting points that have been brought up in the whole mess. Let me start by saying that I have the utmost respect for Vanessa Rodriguez. We have conversed a bit, I’m reviewing some books on her behalf, and I even ran with her a little bit at DisneyWorld this year.
