Change of Plans

I love making plans. For whatever reason, I feel sad whenever my plans change. But, a change in the plan is just an opportunity to do more planning. NEW GYM The first big change is that I have committed to a 1-year membership with Goodlife Fitness. I’ve been debating switching gyms for a while. I was debating between staying with the City of Mississauga Parks and Recreation fitness clubs or switching to Goodlife Fitness. Strength Training Routine

My injury at the end of January kind of forced me to go back to the gym, which was really good for me. I look back on my most successful seasons and I realize that those seasons were highlighted with a lot of strength training. So, it’s important to me to get back into the gym in a serious way. Spring 2015 Training Plan: Foundation & Injury Prevention

After almost going stir-crazy resting for two weeks after the Goodlife Fitness Toronto Marathon, I’m done reflecting and ready to start training again. I have a lot of work to do if I want to make a good showing at the New York Marathon this fall. I’ve based this program as an amalgamation of a Jack Daniel’s plan and the Running Room Plan. The first 6 weeks is base building, or as Dr. Daniel’s puts it, “Foundation & Injury Prevention.” I started last summer with a similar program.
