Who said training was over? Part of me wishes it was… It’s a good thing I wrote most of this before the Army Run! Just because I finished my goal race doesn’t mean training is done! Remember, training for the next race starts at the finish line of the last one! Army Run Race Report

Last weekend I ran the Army Run half-marathon in Ottawa. This didn’t go as I’d planned. I’ve listed a lot of excuses at the end of this post, but the hard truth is that I didn’t before as well as I would have liked. My heart wasn’t in it. I know a lot of people wished me good luck, so I feel like I let a lot of you down. I apologize. I feel quite a bit of shame in my failure. Army Run Goals

The countdown is on to the Ottawa Army Run half-marathon. This is the race I’ve been training for all summer. And it will be a test to see if all this Jack Daniels training really worked. I have mixed emotions going into this race: I’ve trained hard, but some setbacks in the last month have left me with doubts.  I know that I’ve trained harder than I ever have for a half-marathon, According to my Dailymile stats, I’ve run over 560km as part of this program since May 20, 2014.
