Around The Bay Goals

The 120th Anniversary of the Around The Bay 30k in Hamilton is coming this Sunday! This will be my 4th time running it (also see my 2012 and 2013 race reports). There are some changes this year: The course has changed to avoid a repeat of last year’s ‘train delay’. There are great posts by Kenny Yum and Emma Iserman describing the modified course. Copps Coliseum has been renamed the FirstOntario Centre. I expect everyone will still call it Copps Coliseum for a while. There will be no baggage check this year! Really? New Home Gym

My most successful season was the spring of 2012. I went back through my records trying to understand what made that season so successful. One of the things that I noticed was I did weight training 3 times a week in that period. Now that the Chilly Half-Marathon is behind me, I have the flexibility to do more strength training and cross-training. I’m running the Mississauga Half-Marathon on May 4 as a fundraiser for the Trillium Health Partners Foundation. Click here to donate now!
