Dopey Challenge Report

Before anything else, I want to thank the thousands and thousands of volunteers that made the Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend so magical! I don’t if any of you will see this report, but I really appreciate your time, energy, support and help! These races are genuine Disney magic. You feel like a kid again being in the parks, but I get to combine that with my passion of running and the joy of finishing the races. Dopey Training: Week 8

I always look forward to taper week. I also always dread taper week.On one hand, I love that it’s a genuine break and the most important part is recovery. On the other hand, I get jittery and want to go-go-go which spills into other areas of my life. Mind you, with air temperatures around -24ºC and windchills below -30ºC, I’m kinda glad I didn’t have to be outside running too much last week. Happy New Year to all my lovely readers! And welcome to 2014! A chance to start all over again! Apparently there are a lot of you lovely readers: My site stats say that 68 people viewed my website yesterday? WOAH! Everyone does New Year’s Resolutions and promptly breaks them. Who am I to ruin tradition? :p   But, I do seriously plan to list SMART (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, Time-Sensitive) goals. Some of these goals are running-related, but some are not.
