Superheroes?

Why do I have a thing for superheroes right now? First it was the Power Rangers hoodie. More recently the Superman-like costume for the Mississauga Half-Marathon. I just bought a Batman Bondi Band. I’m playing Mass Effect 2 right now and can’t help but pick the “Paragon” option at every opportunity where you do the “heroic” thing instead of the “badass” action. Virgin London Marathon Pre-race Thoughts

I’m running the Virgin London Marathon tomorrow morning. Things have not gone as planned. Common pre-race logic is to eat familiar food and get a good rest before a race. Being away at a destination race makes that almost impossible: If the jetlag wasn’t bad enough, I haven’t had a good night sleep in days because I’m not used to hotel beds. I also nearly broke myself yesterday because I had to carry our two 50 pound bags up hundreds of stairs and across all sorts of subway platforms. Running with Spatulas

Another random-ish post. Last week I entered a photo contest on Ali Mc’s Blog, Running With Spatulas. I didn’t win, but I did win a neat door prize, a fancy new blue Bondi Band. I was pleasantly surprised that Ali has posted all of the contest photos in one place. We’re listed as her Fellow Spatula Runners. There are some awesome pictures on there. I was surprised when I saw my pictures on there. Not only did Ali post it, but she edited my two photos together and added my description.
