Plan B: The Silver Lining
I was pretty dour when I posted last week about my new injury. And there are some various cons to being unable to run due to medical reasons. But, I’m starting to see some marginal benefits to being “benched.” The cons of being sidelined due to injury were pretty obvious: -I can’t run -Soreness and pain -Potential weight gain because of calories not burned -Missing the comradarie of a group run -Low mood because of missing endorphins One would think I’d have a bunch of free time, but since I’m the clinic instructor, I still have to see the group[…continue reading]

January Review
What? January is over already?? It feels like I just wrote this post about New Year’s Resolutions yesterday!! How the time flies!! So in keeping with those New Year’s Resolutions, here’s my monthly update! It’s been a bit of a rocky month. The weather has varied widely, but there have been some very cold days. One run was cut short because it was too icy, and one was cancelled outright because -30ºC is getting to dangerously cold levels. The attendance for the clinic I’m leading has tapered significantly.
