2014 In Review

I haven’t published a monthly review since July, but in the spirit of the end of 2014, I figured it was a good time to do a general review of the year.   It was also a great year for the blog. WordPress made a lovely summary visible here.   Here are some of my favourite memories from the year: The Walt Disney World Dopey Challenge was right at the start of 2014, and it was quite a great highlight. Egg Nog Jog Race Goals

This weekend I’m running the Egg Nog Jog 10.8k presented by Georgetown Runners. There are SO many “short” runs in December, but this year I’m doing this race! I’ve been meaning to do this event for years, but because of it’s small cap of 600 runners, it usually sells out really early. I jumped on it this year and registered at the end of September!     There are some neat things about this race I’m looking forward to. It has a medal, which is nice. Las Vegas “VIP” Experience

As promised here’s another post about my Rock ‘n’ Roll Las Vegas Race weekend experience, the VIP Experience. You can read about the race details in this post, but this post will focus strictly on the VIP Experience. Let me preface this by saying I don’t necessarily like that there are “two-tier” experiences now fora  lot of services. I don’t like that certain people get special treatment, to the detriment of other customers. I particularly see this in airlines with their first class, business class, frequent flyer, priority, and other bullshit loyalty programs.
