Happy New Year to all my lovely readers! And welcome to 2014! A chance to start all over again! Apparently there are a lot of you lovely readers: My site stats say that 68 people viewed my website yesterday? WOAH! Everyone does New Year’s Resolutions and promptly breaks them. Who am I to ruin tradition? :p   But, I do seriously plan to list SMART (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, Time-Sensitive) goals. Some of these goals are running-related, but some are not. Dopey Training: Week 7

Another simulation week complete! That was fun… Dopey Health Stats Resting Heart Rate: 56 BPM Weight: 205.8 Lbs Body Fat %: 26.6% Average hours of sleep: 7.5  (8+7.5+10+6.5+6+8) Getting up at 5am may have been a touch unnecessary on days I was off, but I felt it important to get the whole experience, including the early morning and lingering fatigue. There were a couple of nights where I had only 6 hours of sleep. Those were obviously bad, but perhaps a necessary experience too. I plan to make up for it this week. Goodbye 2013!

I’ll be honest, I’m mostly just ready to get out of this year. 2012 was a really good year. 2013 really wasn’t. I’ll remember 2013 for the injury. It was humbling, but also a learning experience. I will no longer take my runs for granted: Every run is a gift! And I have a better appreciate of how important it is to practice good self-care like massage, foam rolling, stretching and epsom salt baths.
