Chilly Nerves
I’m registered to be the 2:10 pacer at the Chilly Half-Marathon in a couple days. But I don’t feel ready. I’m quite nervous. This will be the third year in a row I have run this race, and the first year that I’m going to pace it. I registered to pace it months ago, setting an ambitious goal of 2:10. Heart Rate When Sleeping
Someone in my clinic was talking about how he enjoyed the data he was getting from his heart rate monitor. He asked how to get his most accurate resting heart rate. I told him the best time is right after you wake up in the morning. He said he might forget to check, so I recommended that he sleep with the heart rate monitor on. Form Tip #2: Stand Tall The long name for this tip is “Stand as if a string is lifting you from the top of your head.” It actually encompasses a lot of tips together and does wonderful things for your running form.
