Super Safety Tip #4: Be Prepared for Running in the Rain There was a different tip scheduled for today, but since we’re expecting rain tonight and tomorrow I thought I’d introduce this timely tip. Runners should train in any weather that we may have to race in: Wind, cold, sleet, snow, extreme heat and even rain will not cancel a race so you may be expected to run in those weathers. 2012 is Behind Me!
Like one of those distance markers you run by in a race, 2012 is already behind me. It was an unbelievable year, which leaves me a little concerned of how I should top it. It’s often said that a picture is worth a thousand words. And I’m a Half Fanatic too!
A little while ago I was very proud that I have achieved my goal of the season of becoming a certified Marathon Maniac! Upon review, it turns out I had accidently met the requirements to become a certified Half-Fanatic earlier this year. Oops. So, now I’m Half-Fanatic 3100! I achieved the “Neptune” moon level by doing 3 half-marathon races in 63 days. The three races were the Chilly Half-marathon, Around The Bay 30k and Mississauga Half-Marathon.
