Pre-Race Jitters

Apparently I have readers now. Thank you to all 5 of you! Please leave comments to let me know that you are out there… I have a race coming up in about 9 days and I’m surprisingly nervous about it. I’m back into training properly now, making lots of life changes, and adjusting as I go along. After a cross-training workout with my new trainer Kathy Bogatek, I was surprised how much I hurt the next day. It was a familiar feeling and not entirely unwelcome, but I hadn’t felt like that for several weeks. Running with the new group is a new experience. Bread and Honey 15k Race Report

This was my last race of the spring 2011 season on June 5, 2011. I’m quite happy with my 1:29:05 because it’s just below my 90 minute goal. However, it was also a great race of lessons to learn. I was a little sketchy about the race at first because the website was ve ry sparse and the posted maps were a little sketchy.
