TCS NYC Marathon Results Magazine

I received a magazine in the mail about a month ago. Getting magazines isn’t usual for me because I have a number of subscriptions, but this one was special. I reported that I ran the New York City Marathon last November. This is the official magazine of the results.     It’s a nice commemorative piece in general, especially considering how much I paid for the race! But there’s something about this magazine that makes it extra special for me. There were almost 50,000 people that finished this race, including many elite athletes and celebrities. New Year’s Resolutions 2016

As New Year’s Resolution posts go, I’m VERY late. January’s almost over and I’m finally getting around to publishing this. But, better late than never! And, I better get this out before I have to write a January review!!   Unlike last year, a lot of my resolutions this year are much more difficult to quantify. I don’t think I can make them all SMART (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, Time-Sensitive), but I’ll try.   SET NEW HALF-MARATHON PB I want to beat my current half-marathon personal best of 2:03:22 which I set during the 2012 Chilly Half-Marathon. So, What Next?

Yeah, I’ve got the hardest part of my season still ahead of me, but I like to think ahead. I’m constantly scheming and planning. It helps me distract myself during training to think about what’s next. And it helps to keep me focused through a season to see that life goes on after I appreciate that it’s almost inappropriate to try to plan so far ahead even though I’m still about 4 weeks from my goal race of the New York City Marathon.  But, I’ve already registered to running the Goofy Challenge again in January.
