Taper Madness and Planning Ahead
I am farily certain I am going through taper madness. It is a well documented condition that involves phantom pains, skittishness, hunger, doubt and binge spending. I swear that my body suspects what I am going to do to it this Sunday. I am so much hungrier than usual, and I’m eating SO much. I have so much energy that I’m randomly breaking into dance. “they shall run and not be weary…”
After running the Mercedez-Benz Oakville 10k, I noticed that the name of the passage “Isaiah 40:31” was printed on his hoodie. Later, I learned that gentleman was the winner of the race. I was curious what Bible verse would be of such interest to a runner. But those who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint There are a lot of translations. This is the NRSV translation of Isaiah 40:31. Just thought I’d share this interesting observance.

First Steps
Hello World! This isn’t really my first steps into blogging, but my first blog that will centre around my running training. My first marathon is in less than 3 days and I’m going through very serious taper mania. So, naturally with my excess energy, time, and a credit card handy I bought a domain and set up a website.
