Toronto Marathon Goals!

It’s less than a week now until the Goodlife Fitness Toronto Marathon. I was greatly apprehensive when I registered last MAY, but I’m feeling pretty good about it now. It’s been an interesting season. I started the season in November by buying a custom training plan from Project Run S.M.A.R.T to follow to the goal race. I kind of abandoned it a month or so later, but I liked the concept and I hope to apply it to my next season. I got into the New York City Marathon

To my surprise, and almost to my dismay, I got entry to the 2015 TCS New York City Marathon! I was nervously checking my NYRR account during drawing day last week to see if I got in. As I mentioned in my February Review I was almost hoping NOT to get in because I was looking forward to a bunch of fall half-marathons and was dreading the idea of summer marathon training. Chilly Goals

On Sunday I will be running the Chilly Half-Marathon in Burlington as the 2:20 run-walk (r/w) pace bunny. This will be the 4th year in a row I’ve run this race, and my second time pacing it.   I volunteered to be a pacer at this race for a few reasons. My true goal for the season is the Goodlife Fitness Toronto Marathon. It’s the first serious full-marathon I’ve done in almost 3 years.
