Two months since release

It was two months yesterday that I discharged from hospital. My how time flies. If someone asked me what’s new, I could cheekily answer:  Became a father Spent 3.5 months in hospital because of a rare neuro auto-immune disease Ate an awesome steak last month Bought a new couch I wonder if anyone wants to hear about the couch…? At least I finally have an official diagnosis for what happened to me: Transverse Myelitis. It’s even more rare than Guillain-Barre syndrome. Lucky me. October 2018 Review

Let’s just accept the fact I’ve had no updates since April 2018. Oops. My bad. I hope to do better.   Running Updates No, I didn’t run Scotia this year. I was supposed to be a pacer, but didn’t train enough over the summer and bailed out pretty early. I have been going to the gym A LOT though. Since changing trainers I’ve been very happy at LA Fitness. The new trainer seems to focus on my form much more than my intensity, which helps me stay motivated to come up to 3 times a week. Marching back to a routine

The Chilly half-marathon last month was very humbling. I can’t remember the last time I felt like such a failure, an impostor. I was ending the race surrounded by old people, who were race-walking faster than I could run! I felt I was unfit to be doing that race. I had not taken proper care of myself. I was wasting time and wasting away. I mean, I did finish, but it’s my slowest chilly half ever!
