You Never Know Who You’re Inspiring

This seemed appropriate for a Motivation Monday. I was feeling kinda down last week: The really cold weather was discouraging me from running and forced me to cut a run short. And I’ve been missing a lot of gym sessions with my trainer because of scheduling conflicts. And then I was sent flat on my butt by a cold. John Scott, the People’s MVP

This is a story about a hockey player. But even more than that, it’s a story about a human. I started writing this as a Facebook post but it got much longer and detailed than I expected. I know this blog is mostly about running, but this is a great motivational story that transcends hockey, and kind of just warms the heart. I’m a Ten (???)

A couple of weeks ago there was some situation at the Goodlife Fitness Gym I frequent where a customer was using chalk and a bunch of managers and staff went out to tell him he shouldn’t. But, before they approached him they talked each other up saying: “What are you?” “I’m a ten!” Some trainers and other staff kind of rolled there eyes, but others, especially the fitness manager was very into it.
