I’m On The STWM 2012 Pacer Team!
As I may have mentioned, I’m going to be a pacer for the Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon this fall. I am thoroughly impressed by the organization of the pacing team. I was surprised that there was an application process! I got in because I successfully paced the Oakville Half-Marathon last year. We had a meeting a few weekends ago for all the pacers. Yes, we had a meeting! This is amazing!! The pacing program is sponsored by Brooks, so we all have to wear Brooks gear for the race while we pace. Early Season Slump
Things really aren’t going as I had planned so far this season. I got a late start due to a medical complication, my paces are awful, my weight is not good and I feel like I’m letting my clinic down. What a mess! I have some pretty lofty goals for myself this season: Together with Amar Sandhu, we’re leading the Marathon Clinic at our local Running Room Beat my previous personal best at the Bank of American Chicago Marathon. Hero Story
I certainly don’t consider myself a hero of any sort, but the Trillium Health Centre Foundation just posted a bit on my Mississauga Half-Marathon fundraising campaign. I’m in their Hero Gallery. Paul doesn’t need a superhero cape to prove that he is an everyday hero. But the cape fit, so he ran with it in support of Trillium Health Centre Foundation at the Mississauga Marathon. Paul has participated in many running events across the city, and this year he decided to run the Mississauga Marathon in support of Trillium Health Centre Foundation.
