Mississauga Marathon Recon

The final leg of the “Southern Ontario Triple Crown” is fast approaching. My reconnaissance post about the Valley Inn Road hill for Around The Bay was very popular, so I thought I’d do something similar in the lead-up to the Mississauga Marathon and Half-Marathon. I run many parts of this course on a regular basis, so I have experience not only running the full route, but also running many variations of it. Virgin London Marathon Pre-race Thoughts

I’m running the Virgin London Marathon tomorrow morning. Things have not gone as planned. Common pre-race logic is to eat familiar food and get a good rest before a race. Being away at a destination race makes that almost impossible: If the jetlag wasn’t bad enough, I haven’t had a good night sleep in days because I’m not used to hotel beds. I also nearly broke myself yesterday because I had to carry our two 50 pound bags up hundreds of stairs and across all sorts of subway platforms.
