18 Almonds!
I’m back into training properly now, making lots of life changes, and adjusting as I go along. After a cross-training workout with my new trainer Kathy Bogatek, I was surprised how much I hurt the next day. It was a familiar feeling and not entirely unwelcome, but I hadn’t felt like that for several weeks. Running with the new group is a new experience. Laser Eye Surgery Follow-Up
About 2 weeks ago I had laser eye surgery with TLC Lasik. It was to correct nearsightedness in both eyes and an astigmatism in one eye. My surgery was done by Dr. Dean Smith, who also happens to be a family friend. Pre-Surgery Musings I have been thinking about having this done for years. New Season
I suppose it’s rather arbitrary saying that yesterday I started a new running season, but all the signs were there: Set of races ended, took a 14 day break, starting new routine and clinic, fixed watch and officially started summer! Let me elaborate on these a bit. I finished a gauntlet of races in May which was 90km of races divided into 4 races in just 5 weeks.
