Frosty 5k 2020 Race Report

On March 1, 2019 I was still in the ICU at St. Michael’s Hospital, paralyzed and on a breathing tube suffering from a rare auto-immune neurological illness. On March 1, 2020, I ran a 5k, the “Frosty 5k” as party of the Chilly Half-Marathon event in Burlington, Ontario. I started training for this “run” in January. Regrettably,in early February, my physiotherapists told me to stop running. It was causing quite a strain on some of my internal organs. I did keep walking, but no more running. Another Juice Cleanse

My wife and I just finished another juice cleanse from Total Cleanse. It’s similar to the one we did in September. But this time we did four days instead of three. And this time we did the “Immunity Kit” instead of the “Refresh Cleanse” The process was easy again. We actually ordered it on Boxing Day using a promo code we got via email. We scheduled it to arrive the Sunday after New Year’s; After all the Holiday parties, scheduling this cleanse seemed very prudent. Runway Run Race report

First race report inn a long time. I hazard to even call this a “race” , but I guess I have to (re-)start somewhere. The Pearson Runway Run has always been on my radar for many years. But its placement in late September never quite worked out: Too short a distance so close to major half and full-marathons in October.
