Another Juice Cleanse
My wife and I just finished another juice cleanse from Total Cleanse. It’s similar to the one we did in September. But this time we did four days instead of three. And this time we did the “Immunity Kit” instead of the “Refresh Cleanse”

The process was easy again. We actually ordered it on Boxing Day using a promo code we got via email. We scheduled it to arrive the Sunday after New Year’s; After all the Holiday parties, scheduling this cleanse seemed very prudent. The bottles of juice were delivered to our door, and I sorted them away into the fridge.
This cleanse was harder for a few reasons. The first is that the contents are different: Although the “Green Energy” juices tasted pretty bad from the celery, they were probably more nutritious and filling than the fruit and ginger ones that made up most of this kit. I am also a lot more active and mobile now than I was in September, so I think I burned more calories during a day. And, I’m glad my wife did it with me, but of course, our infant daughter did not do the juice cleanse. So, I was still cooking, preparing, serving, and feeding her things that tasted downright divine while essentially fasting. My daughter was cute and even offered me pieces of her food back!
I didn’t feel too hungry during the cleanse. Taking a bottle every two hours was enough. And, like last time, it’s an easy meal on the go. We literally put them in a cooler and take the ones we think we’ll need. A whole mobile meal can be sipped in about 30 seconds: No cooking, no clean up.
I had funny food cravings this time: I was craving movie theater popcorn, drenched in that artificial butter stuff. I worry I may go to a theater sometime next week just to buy the popcorn.
Funny enough, I found I still needed to floss even though I didn’t have any solid food for four days. I’m not sure what this stuff was that I was picking our from between my teeth, but something was collecting there!
I can’t argue with the results though. My wife says she lost 7 pounds. In four days, I lost TEN POUNDS! That’s pretty crazy! I’m hoping it doesn’t all come back. But, it’s a great start to a New Year and even better health habits for 2020.
