September and October didn’t go so well for me: I flubbed my race in Ottawa, then my sleep habits went downhill, I missed the CN Tower Stair Climb because of work, and then I missed the Niagara Falls Half-Marathon because I was sick. I haven’t done a monthly review in a while and frankly I feel like I’ve simply been slacking. But, a new month starts tomorrow and there’s always the opportunity to start again. DNS Niagara Half

It is with regret that I have withdrawn from the Niagara Falls Half-Marathon. As I mentioned here and here, I was going to be the 2:30 pacer. Unfortunately, I’ve been hit hard with an illness since Wednesday and made the fateful decision to withdraw this morning. On Wednesday night I spiked a huge fever and had some severe digestive distress. I’m pretty sure it’s not ebola, but whatever bug I’ve caught is very uncomfortable. Camille Leblanc-Bazinet and a Photoshop Fail

I recently ‘liked‘ Canadian CrossFit athlete Camille Leblanc-Bazinet. You can ‘like‘ her too on facebook, follow her on twitter, see her videos on youtube, or read her BNS profile. Her fame recently exploded as she won the 2014 Reebok Crossfit Games and earned the title of “Fittest Woman in the World“. (I definitely put “Fittest” in quotes. She is incredibly fit, and I’m sure she deserves the title of greatest CrossFit athlete. But, I don’t agree that CrossFit’s definition the 10 elements or components of fitness.
