Can’t Relax? Thinking of Rewards!
As I mentioned in a previous post, I’m finding this month to be particularly unfun. The challenging February weather and studying for my PMP have really gotten me down. My motivation board has become a constant presence putting pressure on me before I sleep and after I wake up. But in a little corner, one of the things said to reward yourself. Chilly Training Run Photos
This morning, my clinic went to Burlington to run a “dress rehearsal” for the Chilly Half-Marathon in two weeks. We did most of the route, and it always helps to see the landmarks. I hope the conditions are better in two weeks because it was cold, windy, snowy, and the sidewalks were snowy and icy. Here’s a photo spam! Click on any photo for a bigger version! Unfun
I’m going through a busy period: Work, training in lousy winter conditions, stressing about the upcoming race, and studying for my PMP exam. I’m trying desperately to make sure I don’t fall behind in sleep so that I remain functional. I put a lot of pressure on myself with my New Year’s Resolutions and I’m very committed to achieving them. As a result, I don’t have much time for fun. This winter training season is a real drag.
