I wrote this as part of an e-mail to my new Marathon Clinic as motivation. I think it was worth sharing here too: For some of you this is your first marathon. Going “Pro”

A few weeks ago I flourished my credit card and bought the dailymile PRO package. If you haven’t used dailymile before… what’s wrong with you?! One of the things I love about the running community at the recreational level is that it’s so inviting, welcoming and supportive. Some people say dailymile is like a facebook for athletes, but it’s a little different. A lot of my “friends” on dailymile are strangers I’ve never met, but I still like to motivate them and give them tips, and they do the same back. Training On A Cruise Ship

Last week I enjoyed a week-long cruise aboard the Caribbean Princess with my family. The ship visited The Bahamas, Curacao and Aruba.   While touring on the first day, we went to the gym and I signed up for a boot camp. That was a fantastic decision. I had to pay for the four sessions, but it would be very good to have scheduled classes at an intensity appropriate to my age group.
