Back On My Feet

I wasn’t sure what I was going to do tonight. Being the control freak that I am, not having a plan is disconcerting. When I lack a plan I usually wind up wasting time on Facebook or a video game or something. But, true to my word of reclaiming my life through baby steps, I decided I had to do something! Baby Steps

It’s been a week since I declared I was jumping back into training. Following Macnic’s advice, I’m taking baby steps. In this post I’ll detail what I’ve accomplished in a week.   Weak Week Progress I was a little discouraged when I went for a run on Sunday afternoon. My right leg seems to be back to normal, but my left leg still has the tarsal tunnel symptoms. I was pretty discouraged about that. Sporting Life 10k Mess Sparks Runner’s Revolution!

I did not run the Sporting Life 10k this year. However, I have heard A LOT about this race, and it’s almost entirely negative. Unless they finished under 50 minutes, everyone I talked to HATED this race. The biggest problem I’m told was that there were problems at the finish line. But such negatives can be made into positives: Greater Toronto Area (GTA) runners can choose which races they want to support based on past performance, and the local running community is standing up for what they want!
