What Did I See?

I’m still recovering from my health incident, and I’m hoping that the worst of it is behind me. During that period I almost died, at least once. After hearing that, quite a few people eventually ask me the same question: “What did I see?”. I don’t discourage anyone to ask that, in fact if positions were reversed I may ask the same question. Metaphysically, I’m sure a lot of people wonder if there is an afterlife, or what being so close to death is like. My Health Incident

I seemed to have everything going for me: Happily married, bought a house, great job, and super-cute newborn baby. Then something went inexplicably wrong. On February 2, 2019, I checked into the emergency room at the Trillium Health Centre Mississauga Hospital with weakness in my legs and urinary problems. This whole incident probably started weeks before with the string of flu’s that hit me in rapid succession. I was admitted to a hospital room and became increasingly confused. On the evening of February 5, I suffered a “Code Blue” (stopped breathing). The doctors and nurses performed CPR and managed to revive me.[…continue reading]

Review of Odysseo by Cavalia

Here’s definitely something that would fit under the “non-running” category of my blog. But, I hope you all enjoy this review: I saw Cavalia’s “Odysseo” in Mississauga with a large group of seven on June 23, 2017. We got the VIP package which included a dinner buffet before the show, open bar (wine and beer), and dessert buffet during intermission, access to the stables after the show, and a souvenir (book).
