Around The Bay 30k 2012 Race Report

I did a lot more mental preparation for this race than I usually do. I had a detailed race plan and even did a reconnaissance mission! Valley Inn Road – Recon Mission

On Saturday, March 17, I ran the infamous “Valley Inn Road” in Hamilton. This hill has about 25 meters of rise and it’s famous because it comes at around the 26th kilometer of the Around The Bay 30k Road Race. The purpose of this run was not only to do reconnaissance for the race, but to do some hill repeats. Last year when I ran this race, Valley Inn Road hill nearly killed me.
