June Review
This monthly review is pretty late. I blame the vacation. But since it’s half-way through the year, it’s an especially important Monthly Review and an important time to review those New Year’s Resolutions. Goal: SET A NEW HALF-MARATHON PB (< 2:03:22) Status: I have a shot! Time is ticking down to the Army Run Half-Marathon in Ottawa. Only 66 days away. Training is grueling, but I hope it will be worth it! And if it doesn’t go so well, I’ll have a backup in the Rock ‘n’ Roll Las Vegas Half-Marathon 6 weeks later. May Review
I like these monthly reviews. I feel motivated to keep working out because people are ‘watching’. I’ve made a tag just for “Monthly Reviews” so that I can keep them organized and such. This was something of a transition month for me. I took quite a long break in the middle of the month to recharge. Since then, I’ve approached my new Jack Daniels’ inspired training program with gusto. Maybe too much gusto… I’m enjoying running in the pleasant weather, but it will become unbearably warm soon. April Review
I felt really motivated by the weekly Dopey Training posts I did in the fall. These monthly reviews aren’t as frequent but similarly valuable for keeping me honest. I’m actually getting through my New Year’s Resolutions list quite effectively so I may be updating my goals in the near future. Like March, I was very motivated to exercise. I’m starting to see physical progress. the exercise is helping me get through my change in relationship status, but taper has been a little rough.
