It has been a long time since my last swim. In the fall, the pool closest to my home closed for renovation, and only reopened last week. I meant to go to other pools, but never got around to it. I still consider myself a novice runner, but I would be lying if I called myself a novice swimmer. It’s a romantic notion to think that I went from couch to marathon coach in less than 3 years.
