Early Season Slump
Things really aren’t going as I had planned so far this season. I got a late start due to a medical complication, my paces are awful, my weight is not good and I feel like I’m letting my clinic down. What a mess! I have some pretty lofty goals for myself this season: Together with Amar Sandhu, we’re leading the Marathon Clinic at our local Running Room Beat my previous personal best at the Bank of American Chicago Marathon. Hero Story
I certainly don’t consider myself a hero of any sort, but the Trillium Health Centre Foundation just posted a bit on my Mississauga Half-Marathon fundraising campaign. I’m in their Hero Gallery. Paul doesn’t need a superhero cape to prove that he is an everyday hero. But the cape fit, so he ran with itĀ in support of Trillium Health Centre FoundationĀ at the Mississauga Marathon. I’m in iRun Magazine!
Do you read iRun magazine? You should! In fact, in some cases you can get a free subscription because of a race you’ve already run! A little while ago, I submitted my new personal best from this year’s Chilly Half-Marathon to their “Call Outs” section. They asked for a photo months ago, but hadn’t heard from them in quite a while. Someone said they saw me in this month’s issue… Here’s a detail of my picture and new personal best blurb. I’m not quite on the cover yet, but I’m working on it!
