Saucony ProGrid (Lite) Kinvara Review

  I owe one of my loyal readers a review of the famous Saucony ProGrid Lite Kinvaras. After putting about 50km on these shoes and running a race, I feel confident to give them a fair review. Lately, the running community has been gripped in deep discussion about the notion of barefoot and minimalist running. There are compelling and interesting debates about the very philosophy and economics that surround ‘traditional’ running shoes. I’m particularly interested in the evolutionary and physiological arguments about running barefoot. Saucony Grid Cohesion 3 – New Shoes, sorta…

  It is with great sadness that I retire my Saucony Grid Cohesion 3 shoes. I’ve been using them since I ran the Around the Bay 30k on March 27. These guys got me through at least 6 races including my first marathon, so I’m fairly sentimental about them. After over 550km, it feels like they’re finally done. I got the pain on the bottom of my feet and the shin splints that are textbook signs of worn out shoes. Gear Upgrades?

Now that I’m taking a couple of weeks off of running, I’m in a bit of taper madness. So naturally I’m looking to upgrade my running gear. I know training is the only thing that will make me faster, but new gear is fun to play with. Belt   Right now I use a FuelBelt Helium2. I’ve added an extra bottle to it and another pouch.
