Saucony Grid Cohesion 3 – New Shoes, sorta…
It is with great sadness that I retire my Saucony Grid Cohesion 3 shoes. I’ve been using them since I ran the Around the Bay 30k on March 27. These guys got me through at least 6 races including my first marathon, so I’m fairly sentimental about them. After over 550km, it feels like they’re finally done. I got the pain on the bottom of my feet and the shin splints that are textbook signs of worn out shoes. Laser Eye Surgery Follow-Up
About 2 weeks ago I had laser eye surgery with TLC Lasik. It was to correct nearsightedness in both eyes and an astigmatism in one eye. My surgery was done by Dr. Dean Smith, who also happens to be a family friend. Pre-Surgery Musings I have been thinking about having this done for years. New Shoes
With all the information about minimalistic running and racing flats that I’ve been bombarded with in recent months, it was only a matter of time before I bought in. I just bought this pair of Saucony Kinvaras. I’ve been wearing them around the house for a little while. My first reaction is that they feel bizarre. My current running shoes and even my walking shoes I use for day-to-day travel have the typical 2.4cm raised heel.
