This monthly review is a few days late. But, I thought it would be better to write after my season’s penultimate marathon rather than awkwardly right before it. This was an interesting month. Regrettably  I spent the first 2-3 weeks of it recovering from an illness. March Review

Did any of you enjoy my little April Fool’s Day joke from yesterday? I hope nobody actually took that seriously. There were a lot of good April Fools things going around, but the Mississauga Marathon had one of my favourites mocking the “obstacle race” genre: “In 2016 the Mississauga Marathon will launch its Urban Obstacle Race Series and the first event is truly ridiculous All participants run in linear fashion, onto oncoming ladder stations. February Review

So, this was a different kinda month. I started it unable to run because of my calf injury. So I got creative and slashed my calories, and rediscovered weight training and swimming. Unfortunately, my first time back in the pool I got some water in my ear which led to an ear infection 🙁 It’s really nice being back in the gym. Perhaps the only downside is the DOMS.
