January Review
What? January is over already?? It feels like I just wrote this post about New Year’s Resolutions yesterday!! How the time flies!! So in keeping with those New Year’s Resolutions, here’s my monthly update! It’s been a bit of a rocky month. The weather has varied widely, but there have been some very cold days. One run was cut short because it was too icy, and one was cancelled outright because -30ºC is getting to dangerously cold levels. The attendance for the clinic I’m leading has tapered significantly. Injured Again
I was in a bit of a lecturing mood for the last week or so, telling any runner who would listen too take it easy because injury is awful. It turns out that I was indirectly trying to preach to myself. My clinic did speed intervals on Tuesday, January 20. After warm-up, we did 4×2 minute intervals with 2 minute rests. I told them that this workout is a high-risk/high-reward kind of workout.
