Dopey Hangover and Hitting The Books

I got home from the WDW Dopey Challenge without to much damage to my body. I did have a cold which convinced me not to exercise for a few days. I’m acutely aware I ate too much while at Disney World, but I was on vacation! So much food at Disney! I’m also acutely aware that post-race blues are not only common but also troublesome. So right after the race I re-focused myself mentally on new goals: The Chilly Half-Marathon and overall health improvement. Motivation Board

I used to have a poster from the old TV show “ReBoot” on the wall beside my bed. It was really cool and signed by the artist and series creator. I got it at Fan Expo in 2012. It was pretty interesting to look at, but I finally got tired of looking at it and decided after a year-and-a-half it was time for a change.   I keep seeing things on Tumblr about motivating yourself by creating a motivation board. Blasphemy

There’s a piece of paper I’ve been carrying in my backpack for several months. It felt like it was burning a hole in my pocket because it was time sensitive. It was like an opportunity that was ticking away. Last fall I begrudgingly withdrew from the Berlin Marathon due to injury. I got some of my money back, and I didn’t pay for flight or hotel so I was glad I didn’t lose that money.
