Motivation Board
I used to have a poster from the old TV show “ReBoot” on the wall beside my bed. It was really cool and signed by the artist and series creator. I got it at Fan Expo in 2012. It was pretty interesting to look at, but I finally got tired of looking at it and decided after a year-and-a-half it was time for a change. I’m running. Standby.
A little corollary to a post I made a few months ago about a lot of running in the new Star Trek Movie. I saw this animated GIF on Tumblr and had to share it. In this scene, Engineer Montgomery Scott (Scotty) is running down a very long room. Simon Pegg who stared in Run Fatboy Run really sells the scene and provides some comic relief in a very tense part of the movie. Pokémon Relapse!
The generation VI Pokémon games, Pokémon X and Y were released on Saturday. And little 11-year-old me couldn’t resist! Didn’t get much running done this weekend. So much for the gaming withdrawl I had a couple of months ago! I was in the prime demographic for the first iteration of Pokémon when it was released in 1996. It had a certain “schoolyard appeal” that was undeniable. I remember going out at recess, and connecting a cable between our Nintendo Game Boys to trade or battle.
