Chris Pratt and Body Image
This is a different kind of Motivation Monday post, especially after we’ve probably all consumed exorbitant amounts of food for Thanksgiving. I’ve talked about body image a lot (a lot, a lot, a lot). It kind of haunts me but it is a motivating factor in getting healthy. I saw the summer blockbuster movie Guardians of the Galaxy a few months ago and really enjoyed it. Although it was incredibly campy and over the top, it was entertaining in all the ways I love. Training with “Love” – Jennifer Widerstrom
I was watching the new season of The Biggest Loser (season 16) a couple of weeks ago and noticed that they’ve changed the trainers. Jillian Michaels is gone. Her demeanor on the show was usually mean or downright hurtful and hateful, so I’m glad to see her go (though, she can be quite insightful outside the show). There are two new trainers: Jessie Pavelka and Jennifer Widerstrom. I don’t know what to think about Jessie yet. He seems like a typical SoCal fitness junkie. In Praise of the #5amRunClub
I posted some motivational images about running early in the morning on this post, but this post will talk about it in detail. One of the biggest challenges of my current Jack Daniels inspired training program was finding time to do five runs each week. I constantly saw dailymile posts by Nicole, Sam, Emma, Patty and others featuring the hastag #5amRunClub, so I decided to join in. I wasn’t disappointed.
