October Review

This report is a little late, but an important milestone in the year, nonetheless. This one last month to prove to myself that I was a marathoner. This month was highlighted by some gruelingly long runs: 25km, 27km, then a half-marathon. I know other marathoners usually swear by having one or two twenty-milers in their season, but having lost several weeks to a foot injury, I had to back off a bit this season. September Review

Back to reality and buckling down after a rough August. I’ve been executing the action plan pretty aggressively. There are several things I quite enjoyed this month. The most was the cooler temperatures! But I didn’t really like how sunset is getting earlier and earlier. I have also discovered that my favourite thing is sleep. Definitely sleep. 9 hours of sleep in a night is the most amazing feeling and I will fight like a monster to continue to be able to do that! August Review

I said this would be a make or break month. Unfortunately, it became a break month. I started the month with a much needed vacation. Getting away from work and sleeping about 9 hours a day did wonders to restore my mood. Then I hit training hard again. But it seems I hit it too hard the week of August 10 and did something awful to my right foot.
