Summer Bodies are made in the Winter
It has been a while since I published a Motivation Monday post. But, getting back into the gym has inspired me to want to get my body in shape. And, the cold, wind, ice, snow, and darkness that we’ve been enjoying this Canadian winter don’t exactly inspire. So, I remind myself of the cliché: Summer bodies are made in the winter! (though, some some may also say “Summer bodies are earned in the winter!“) And the earworm you never knew you needed… And the first person to complain it’s too hot when summer comes buys ice cream!!

Plan B: The Silver Lining
I was pretty dour when I posted last week about my new injury. And there are some various cons to being unable to run due to medical reasons. But, I’m starting to see some marginal benefits to being “benched.” The cons of being sidelined due to injury were pretty obvious: -I can’t run -Soreness and pain -Potential weight gain because of calories not burned -Missing the comradarie of a group run -Low mood because of missing endorphins One would think I’d have a bunch of free time, but since I’m the clinic instructor, I still have to see the group[…continue reading]
