Reflecting on Bibgate and Bandits
The “Bibgate” incident happened months ago, and I think this is a good time to reflect on it. For those who don’t know, “Bibgate” was the name being passed around running circles about some unsavory activities at the Boston Marathon. It was first brought to my attention when the Boston Athletic Association (BAA) posted something cryptic about reviewing results. Later, a few articles like this one and this one detailed what happened and had the photos to prove it. There were a lot of people photographed wearing identical bibs at the Boston Marathon. Motivation Monday: Jillian Michaels
I’m not a big fan of Jillian Michaels. In my opinion, she is the worst of the trainers on The Biggest Loser. She yells and is a bully. That abusive kind of “boot-camp intensity” works with some people, but can have the opposite effect with some. The flaws in her method often appear early in Biggest Loser seasons when she is often the first to lose trainees. But there’s no denying that she’s in incredible shape, and has thousands of clients who swear by her techniques and products. Passed My DELF A1 Test
I mentioned in my May Review that I thought I passed my DELF (Diplôme d’Études en Langue Française) test. I just got the paperwork that says I did! It’s nothing to get too excited about. The A1 level is the lowest level and very, very basic. Here’s the definition of A1 from the Alliance Francaise website: DELF A1: The A1 user has basic knowledge at this level, also called the “discovery” stage.
