Top Protein Sources I’ve Recently Eaten

A while ago I talked about how I’ve been enjoying using MyFitnessPal.com to track my nutrition. In that post I also mentioned that I’ve been focusing on maximizing protein while minimizing calories. Protein is a really important macromolecule for a lot of reasons: The first and most obvious is that your muscles are built and repaired using protein you ingest. Second, and perhaps more importantly, protein makes you feel more full. A pure protein source is about 4 calories per gram. TCS NYC Marathon Results Magazine

I received a magazine in the mail about a month ago. Getting magazines isn’t usual for me because I have a number of subscriptions, but this one was special. I reported that I ran the New York City Marathon last November. This is the official magazine of the results.     It’s a nice commemorative piece in general, especially considering how much I paid for the race! But there’s something about this magazine that makes it extra special for me. There were almost 50,000 people that finished this race, including many elite athletes and celebrities. This seemed appropriate for a Motivation Monday. I was feeling kinda down last week: The really cold weather was discouraging me from running and forced me to cut a run short.
