Toronto Sprint Spartan Race Report
On Saturday, July 18 I ran SURVIVED my first OCR (obstacle course race), the Toronto Sprint Spartan Race. Early Morning Workouts: An Ode to #5amRunClub
I’ve been running at least once a week in the VERY early morning this season for at least 6 weeks now. I’ve done it before, but I think is the first time I’ve consistently kept renewing my membership in the #5amRunClub. I love these early morning runs and there are a lot of benefits, but there are also a ton of challenges and tricks I need to do to get going. June Review
This was a month of transformation. The first full month of this training season and high hopes for it all. I suppose the first big thing was that I’ve really, REALLY, taken a hard look at my nutrition. Tracking my food on June 2 was really sobering. It was pretty hard to see that I’d really need to cut back on food, especially foods I loved, to meet my weight loss goal. But, I’m reading a lot of labels and starting to try to find balance.
